Quran is the most comprehensive giving of Allah (SWT) upon humanity. The Holy Quran organization structure is 30 Para’s which have 13 lines per page. The principal object of arranging of Quran into Juz or Para is to make it easy to reading, learn and memorize. The Juz is more arranged into Hizb which is half of the length of Juz or para (which is 60).

What is the Difference between Para or Juz?

The Quran was arranged into 30 para or Juz at the time of its gathering to make it easier to complete recitation; it doesn’t have any relevant meaning. It doesn’t fall evenly between chapters, it’s only used to pace the reading.

What are the names of the 30 Para’s of Quran in English or Arabic?

  1. First Para or Juz of the Quran is Alif-laam-meem(آلم ), which has 2 surahs: Al-Fatiha and Al-Baqarah.
  2. Second Para or Juz of the Quran is Sayaqūlu (سَيَقُولُ), which have only 1 Surah that is Surah Al-Baqarah.
  3. Third Para or Juz of the Quran is Tilka ’r-Rusulu (تِلْكَ الرُّسُلُ), which has two surahs: Surah Al-Baqarah and Aal-Imran.
  4. Fourth Para or Juz of the Quran is Lan Tana Loo (لَنْ تَنَالُوا), which has two surahs: Aal-Imran and An-Nisa.
